About Floristry Intermediate
For those who want to continue to develop their floristry skills this 8-week intermediate Floristry course is made just for you.
Learn and build on the foundational skills of European Floral Design that will help you prepare for everyday commercial floristry and wedding work.
At the conclusion of each of the eight classes you will take home a stunning arrangement of flowers. You will gain new knowledge and skills in each class, building a firm foundation for any further classes or flower arranging you might like to pursue.
A variety of arrangements are covered including simple pot arrangements, table centrepieces with and without floral foam, bouquets and dress-and wrist corsages
Investment: 1 payment of $949 or 8 weekly payments of $125

What to bring:
(All Sundries and Flowers will be supplied for Sessions 1 and 8)
For Sessions 2 through to 7 you will purchase your own florals and other materials from the wholesale suppliers with your student card, which will give you full access to the wholesale pricing during your enrolment period.

COURSE CONTENT
Sessions 1 & 2
Session 1: How do we prepare a commercial box?
Reinforcing our radial technique to create a neat domed shape with mostly passive materials
Outcome: Box arrangement in a Dome shape
Session 2: How to create a front-facing arrangement in a pot? We will be adding interest through staggering techniques and grouping
Outcome: Radial Front-facing arrangement in a vessel of choice
Sessions 3 & 4
Session 3: Learning how to construct a basic structure our of sticks, incorporating linear materials in a parallel manner.
Outcome: Parallel modern Pot arrangement including a basic stick frame
Session 4: Asymmetrical Arrangement in a vessel of choice. How do we balance visually and leave spaces in our design to create interest?
Outcome: Asymmetrical arrangement with interest

Sessions 5 & 6
Session 5: Creation of a flowing table centre design within a eco friendly base alternative.
Outcome: Unstructured nature inspired table setting with flowing materials and cascading movements
Session 6:
Wreath design that could become a funeral tribute or a table centre piece
Outcome: Floral Wreath
Sessions 7 & 8
Session 7: how to assemble a front facing bouquet? Re-visiting and practicing the spiralling technique How to tie-off the and how to present it in a professional manner.
Outcome: Front facing modern bouquet in vase
Session 8: reinforcing Wiring, taping and introduction to Hot-gluing, creating two different corsage types.
Outcomes: 1x wired Dress-corsage and 1x glued Wrist-corsage
